Storyboard and previz AI, from the same script.
Boards tell you what is in the shot. Previz tells you how it moves. Sophie makes both from one scene and shot tree: a frame per shot, then a short clip that animates it, so a director can judge movement, pacing and coverage before a previs team, a set or a shoot day is booked.
Two steps, one source
The clip animates the frame you approved.
-
01
Script → shots
Import the screenplay, or a storyboard PDF you already have, and Sophie settles it into scenes and shots with production codes.
-
02
Shots → storyboard
One 16:9 frame per shot, drawn from the shot's lines and the references of the characters, props and places in it, under one Look for the whole project.
-
03
Storyboard → previz
A four-second clip per shot that sets the frame in motion. Each clip records the frame it animates, so it knows when that frame has been remade.
One press
The whole production in one run.
Generate once and Sophie works through references, frames and clips in the order they depend on each other, scene by scene or the whole film. Before it starts it tells you what the run would put out of date and offers to remake that in the same pass.
Stop at any time and keep what was made. Run out of credits and you keep what was made. The navigation shows what is running and what is queued, so a long run is never a mystery.
Where this kind of previz fits.
Early
Before a previs team
A moving board for every shot in a morning, to decide which sequences deserve a previs team's weeks and which questions can be settled now.
Honest
Not 3D previs
Sophie's clips are generated from the frame. They show movement, pacing and coverage; they do not carry real lenses, scale or set data. For that, you still want a previs department, and you will brief it better.
Shared
Seen by the right people
Share the project with a director, a producer or a client by email. They see the boards and clips, and nothing else in your organisation.
What it costs
Frames and clips are generated images and video, which always run on credits: one credit is one US dollar, prepaid, no subscription. The script import that produces your shot list is free the first time, and every run's cost is listed in the project's cost screen. Pricing in full.
Questions about previz
- What is AI previz?
- Previsualisation made with generative models rather than hand-drawn boards or a 3D scene: from a script you get frames and short moving clips that show composition, movement and pacing, in minutes rather than weeks.
- How long is a previz clip?
- Four seconds per shot, enough to see the move and the pacing. Clips are reviewed by scene alongside their frames.
- Can I previz without a storyboard?
- A clip animates a frame, so there is always a frame first — but it can be one Sophie drew, one you uploaded, or a panel read from a storyboard PDF you already had.
- What happens when the script changes?
- Frames and clips record what they were made from. When a reference, a frame or the Look changes, the work made from it is marked out of date and you choose whether to remake it or keep it.
- Can I run the whole film overnight?
- Yes. One Generate covers references, frames and clips for every scene, in dependency order, and you can stop it at any point and keep what has been made.
- Is this free?
- Sophie is free to start: the script import and the first VFX breakdown cost nothing. Frames and clips are generated media and run on prepaid credits, one credit per US dollar.
