A script-to-storyboard tool that starts from your shot list.

Most AI storyboard generators start from a prompt box. Sophie starts from the screenplay: it already knows every scene, every shot and who is in it, so a storyboard is one frame per shot, drawn from the shot's own lines and the references you approved.

From shots, not prompts

The script is the brief.

When you import a screenplay, Sophie keeps every word of it and marks where each shot begins. The result is a scene and shot tree with production shot codes, and every frame Sophie draws afterwards belongs to one of those shots.

A storyboard run takes a scene, or the whole film, and draws one frame for each shot in it from the shot's lines, the characters and props that appear in them, and the Look you set for the project. There is nothing to describe twice and nothing to prompt. When the script has the shot, the board has the frame.

Consistency

The same character in scene 3 and scene 48.

References come first

Before a frame is drawn, Sophie lists the characters, props, vehicles, environments and effects in the script and makes a reference image for each. Frames are drawn with those references in hand, which is what keeps a face, a costume or a vehicle the same from one scene to the next.

One Look per project

Set the visual direction once — a period, a palette, a photographic style — and every reference and frame follows it. Leave it empty and the model picks a coherent one. There is no per-scene art direction to drift.

The picture is only the picture

Frames are 16:9 at 1280×720, and a frame is just the image: no burnt-in captions, numbers or arrows. Sophie draws the panel around it with the shot code and its lines, so the frame stays right when the text changes.

Draft or Detailed

Pick the quality per run. Draft is for seeing the shape of a sequence quickly; Detailed is for the frames you will show someone.

When things change

Only what changed is remade.

Every frame records what it was made from: the shot, the references it was drawn with and the Look it followed. Replace a character's reference, pick an older version, or set a new Look, and Sophie shows you which frames no longer match.

You choose what becomes of them: remake exactly those frames in the same run, leave them marked while you keep working, or keep them as they are. Generate never silently redraws a board you had already approved.

01

Bring the boards you drew

Upload a storyboard PDF and Sophie reads the panels into shots, so an existing board can go straight to previz.

02

Or your own frames

Upload a frame into any shot — a photo from the recce, a concept, a sketch — and it takes its place in the board like a generated one.

03

A refused frame becomes a sketch

Genre scripts have shots an image model declines to draw. Sophie offers those again as a pencil sketch, so the board stays complete and the run keeps going.

What it costs

Storyboard frames are generated images, and image generation always runs on credits: one credit is one US dollar, prepaid, with no subscription. The free trial covers the script import and the first VFX breakdown, so you can see your scene and shot tree before you buy anything. Every run's cost is listed in the project's cost screen. Questions about storyboards

How does Sophie turn a script into a storyboard?
The import splits the screenplay into scenes and shots. A storyboard run then draws one frame per shot from that shot's lines, the reference images of what appears in it, and the project's Look. You review the frames by scene.
Can I control the style?
Through the Look: one written visual direction per project that every reference and frame follows. Changing it tells you which frames it would put out of date.
Which script formats work?
PDF, Final Draft (.fdx), Fountain, Word (.docx), plain text and Markdown. An existing storyboard is uploaded as a PDF.
Is the storyboard free?
The script import that produces your shot list is free the first time; the frames themselves are generated images and run on credits. There is no watermark and no per-project limit.
Do frames carry text?
No. A frame is the picture alone; the shot code, the dialogue and the action are drawn by the app around it, so they are always the script's current text.
What happens after the storyboard?
Previz: a short clip that animates each frame, from the same shot tree. How storyboard and previz fit together.

Start with the script, not a prompt.
